Due to its “aggressive styling and gill-like exoskeleton” Nike writes, the Tn Air Max Plus was soon known as “The Shark” among the youth in France. The “Shark Attack” Nike Tn draws on people’s fears by mixing ocean hues with a blood-red bottom. The mesh upper mimics the reflections of the ocean floor, with a refracted light effect experienced in the clearest of seas. A black leather mudguard and wavy exoskeleton are a stark contrast to the lighter blue hues, with a mini Swoosh on the sidewall outlined in a chilling blood-red. The Air units are also doused in this darker red hue, matching the red-bottom outsole which gives the make-up an eery edge.
