Description Going beyond the realms of K-pop culture, Nike celebrates South Korea’s Alphabet Day, also known as Hangul Day, with a sneaker collection featuring several Nike icons. The Nike Cortez “Hangul Day” commemorates the East Asian nation’s annual holiday, held on the 9th of October. Nike first paid homage to Hangul Day festivities in 2021 with a two-piece Nike Air Force 1 Low. Since then, the Oregon-based sportswear giant has continued introducing all-new styles yearly to coincide with the holiday. The Hangul Day 2023 collection features the Dunk Low, Air Max 1, AF1 Low GTX, P-6000, and Cortez, all clad in neutral-based hues. This iteration has a brown suede base with colour-coordinate nubuck leather overlays reinforcing the toe, serrated eyestay, and heel. White suede Swooshes decorate the sides, while Nike labels on the heel are spelt out in Hangul characters. More Hangul Day tributes appear on the sockliner and hang tag.
