Description New Balance’s update of the classic 574 silhouette, the 5740, has an aesthetic that combines the ‘80s and the ‘90s. First introduced in 2021, this shoe is more fashion-forward than the 574 and features a wide and wavy design. Presenting one of its latest iterations, the New Balance 5740 “Sandstone White”. This NB 5740 has a beige mesh base showing on the toe box. The leather overlays that cover the rest of the shoe are also in the same neutral colour. The hairy suede eye stay panels and heel panels provide a play in texture but not in colour. The oversized “N” logos on both the medial and lateral mid-panels stand out against the all-beige backdrop because of their white outlines. The double-stacked white midsoles have a wavy, ‘90s-inspired top layer and a solid 574 bottom layer. A grey rubber outsole with a traction pattern for grip finishes off this release.
