An homage to the creative agency\u2019s founder, Younes Bendjima, the collaborative silhouette draws inspiration from both Algerian and French sources.<\/p>\n
Designed with a bit of help from creative consultant Sam Jarou, the pair leads first with its sand suede construction, a choice that directly references the dunes of Southern Algeria. Black mesh pokes through on the toebox, midfoot and heel for a salute to ancient Algerian architecture \u2014 structures so grand they even inspired seminal French architect Le Corbusier \u2014 with a middle ground provided by the midfoot\u2019s hi-vis reflective silver N graphic.<\/p>\n
Tongues boast a hybrid mixture of mesh and leather, with standard branding replaced by a FY7 hit. On the lower half, midsoles supply a yin and yang of black and white tones while loading springy silver ABZORB cushioning in the heel and forefoot alike. Black outsoles round off the look. According to Studio FY7, the shoe is \u201ca reminder that no matter where you walk in the world, you can, and should, be proud to carry your history and heritage wherever you go.\u201d<\/p>\n
