For those who weren\u2019t able to get a hold of a pair of the legendary, commotion-causing NYC Pigeon Dunks, the Purple Pigeons were as close as you\u2019re going to get.<\/p>\n<p>The Nike Dunk Low Pro SB Purple Pigeon \u2013 light graphite \/ violet was dubbed Purple Pigeon after the original Pigeon Dunks were released.<\/p>\n<p>The only problem was that these did not feature the pigeon logo on the heel of the shoe as the original ones did. A designer came up with the idea to make the Pigeon patches which you could put on these, to really help them earn their name. They feature a suede \/ leather upper with two tones of grey, and purple accents, including a purple Nike swoosh, outsole, and heel tab.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Are dunks or SB dunks more comfortable?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Are Dunks Or SB Dunks More Comfortable?\u00a0An older SB Dunk can be more comfortable than a regular (non-SB) Dunk. Modern Dunk and SB Dunk releases tend to be stiffer right out of the box. On the Nike Dunk, you get a slim, mesh tongue.\u00a0On the SB Dunk, the tongue has been beefed up to provide more cushion and protection. By being thicker, the tongue helps with the fit as well. It enables the sneaker to mold to your feet, preventing any slipping or wiggling. The tongue is held down with elastic straps which provide an added layer of lockdown.
