adidas’ Stan Smith Crepe Grey is a feat of minimalist sneaker design. The upper comes in smooth grey suede and is detailed with nothing but tonal topstitching and three rows of perforated ventilation ports which form the signature Three Stripes. Meanwhile, the laces and heel panel introduce a tonal, yet slightly darker hue for a subtle contrast. The heel panel also features embossed branding, such as a Trefoil motif and style-name lettering. Comfort-wise, the collar is lined with leather for an easy slip. The gum midsole, while slightly exaggerated, introduces a neutral brown hue and provides optimum traction thanks to the textured outsole.

The updated Stan Smiths are crafted with vegan uppers and outsoles made from rubber waste. They also use something they call Primegreen, a series of high-performance recycled materials. They’re affordable, they’re comfortable and they are versatile enough to pair with everything from dresses to jeans.
