The Flow insole is one of Under Armour’s most successful technologies in recent years. In addition to being used on the Curry series shoes, it has also been used on team shoes. The Flow FUTR X 2 LE which has been worn by Patty Mills and Bones Hyland use Flow technology. When Flow FURU X came out, a lot of people said it was a civilian version of Curry Flow 8, and the feedback in the market was good. What’s the actual difference of Flow FUTR X 2 LE with Curry series shoes?

Appearance?

The design of Flow FUTR X is simple. Except the middle strap is more prominent, it is not impressive. The shoe head of Flow FUTR X 2 LE is also made of mesh fabric. Both sides of shoe heel have wavy texture and UA logo. It takes away the strap design. The colorway of Flow FUTR X 2 is focused on the female market, with a lot of bright and bold colors. Comparing with Flow FUTR X, the appearance of Flow FUTR X 2 has been improved a lot.

Comfort Level:

The vamp of Flow FUTR X 2 uses thick knit. The knit is sparse to keep the feet cool. And it adds a layer of fabric under the knit to improve the supporting performance. But the resilience of mesh fabric is not good. It needs time to break-in.

The appearance of Flow insole is different with Curry series shoes. It has Y shape cutting in the middle position. The FLOW sharp is a little exaggerated, but it doesn’t affect running. The Flow insole is light, but the cushion performance is not good enough. It will increase the burden on the feet of the players who play with power. The unit weight of US9.5 Curry Flow 10 is about 357g, and the unit weight of US9.5 Flow FUTR X 2 is about 334g. Curry Flow 10 is heavier than Flow FUTR X 2 about 20g.

Protection:

Although the resilience of mesh fabric vamp is not good enough and affect the comfort level, but the supporting performance is good. Both side of vamp has strap to connect the shoelaces and midsole. It can effectively adjust the fitness by adjusting the shoelaces. The material of shoe heel position is a little thin. I can only feel that there is a piece of TPU in the shoe heel. The mesh fabric of shoe tongue is also thin, but the padding of shoe collar has been adjusted well. The ankle can be covered well. After fastening the shoelaces, it can fit well, and not affect flexibility. The fitness of Flow FUTR X 2 is better than Curry Flow 10.

Durability:

The durability of Flow has always been the most important factor that influenced people to purchase. So I tested the Flow FUTR X 2 on outdoor court in the beginning. After playing a few times of basketball games, it has obvious abrasion. The traction performance of Flow FUTR X 2 is excellent on indoor court, but the traction performance on outdoor court is not good enough, as it has a lot of dust.

Overall:

The cushion performance, traction performance and durability of Flow FUTR X 2 is almost the same as Curry series shoes. But the material and comfort level of Flow FUTR X 2 is worse than Curry Flow 9 & 10. If you want to feel the lightness of Flow and the best traction on the market, the cost effective of Flow FUTR X 2 is high, you can consider to try it.

The first pair of UNDER ARMOUR carbon fiber running shoes was finally released. Sharon Lokedi who was the winner of the women’s full marathon at the New York Marathon by wearing UNDER ARMOUR FLOW VELOCITI ELITE. UA FLOW VELOCITI ELITE combines many black technologies, many guys are curious what’s the actual running feeling of the top-level design- UA FLOW VELOCITI ELITE.

My impression to the Velociti series shoes are lightweight. I’m pleased to get Velociti Elite as it uses the brand-new technology.

The sense of speed of Velociti series running shoes is always good. When testing the Flow Velociti Elite, I ran on different road condition. The process is smooth.

Appearance:

The first feeling when getting Flow Velociti Elite on hand is the lightweight.

The vamp is made of UA Warp 2.0. The crisscrossing design with the colorway looks great. From the semi-transparent vamp, we can see that the air permeability is great. The light green colorway is also very suitable for Summer.

We can see the color of socks from the semi-transparent vamp. The air permeability is great.

The padding of shoe-tongue is not thick. Both sides of shoe-tongue has ventilated design.

The WARP vamp is flexible.

The insole with stabilizer on heelpiece offer good fitness and stability.

The UA Flow Velociti Elite uses Warp 2.0 vamp. It uses semi-transparent material. It’s cool when running.

Comparing with UA FLOW Velociti Flow, the WARP vamp of UA Flow Velociti Elite has less safety belt. But with reinforced plate and heelpiece design, the fitness is still good.

Insole:

The resilient feedback of UA Flow Velociti Elite is nice. My first experience was an easy 5km course. I felt the lightness and bounce of the Velociti Elite. Originally I expected to run at the speed 5’, but with the explosive power and bounce of the Velociti Elite, it became 4′ speed.

The upper layer of insole is PEBAX foaming.

The bottom layer of insole and outsole is FLOW. The traction performance is qualified.

The sole of UA Flow Velociti Elite uses 4 different materials, including TPE shoe-pad, PEBAX foaming, carbon fiber boosting plate and Flow sole. Each material has its characteristic. But the combination of these 4 different material works good. The cushion and supporting performance are great. It can deal with more road conditions.

Overall:

The UA Flow Velociti Elite uses top-level configuration. The overall performance of UA Flow Velociti Elite is great. As the first pair of UA carbon fiber plate racing shoes, we recommend it to the trained runners. With good running techniques and the technology of UA Flow Velociti Elite, you will run faster and easier.

For the size, I choose half size bigger than standard size. It’s a little big. But it also suit to me. If your foot is not wide, you can choose the standard size.
