This isn’t the first time we’ve seen the UNC to Chicago storyline explored. In February 2020, Jordan Brand released the women’s Air Jordan 1 High OG UNC to Chicago which was well received by the Jumpman’s female fanbase. Now the Air Jordan 1 Low is set to receive the same treatment and just like last time, will be dropping as a women’s exclusive. The story of Michael Jordan’s career from College basketball to the professional ranks of the NBA is reflected on the upper. A University Blue paints the back portion of the shoe, representing how Jordan’s University experience laid the foundations for his future career. The Swoosh is also decorated in the UNC colours and is sewn on top of a black leather panel that we so often see with Air Jordan 1s. The toe box dons a Chicago Red and speaks to how Jordan’s time at the club springboarded him into stardom.
