For this new makeup, the “King of K-pop” elects to go with a tuxedo-esque arrangement, a more bold makeover in comparison to his inaugural Kwondo 1 iteration.

This offering of the Nike Kwondo 1 features an all-leather upper with brogue details taken from the Nike Tiempo and classic golf shoes.

The base is dialed to a crisp white while the leather overlays, Swooshes, thick lace shrouds, bottoms and wing tip toe boxes contrast with a solid black hue.

It comes with a detachable cover overlaying the lacing system allowing you to wear them in two different styles.

Branding carries over from the first release as the aforementioned shrouds split between a Nike Sportswear logo on the right shoe and a PEACEMINUSONE hit on the left. Floral icons are also embroidered into the heels.

If you’ve ever dipped a toe into K-Pop, I have no doubts that you’re familiar with G-Dragon. You’re not known as the “King of K-Pop” for nothing, and the South Korean rapper, singer-songwriter, and fashion designer has certainly earned his accolades.

My first experience with the star was through Skrillex on the 2014 album Recess. I’d never heard of K-Pop at the time, and something about his vocal performance was captivating, leading me down a deep hole of his music, new and old. One thing to note from his musical performances and accompanying videos is that the guy certainly doesn’t lack style or flair.

This penance for bold aesthetics presents itself perfectly through G-Dragon’s ongoing collaboration with Nike. A somewhat underrated, under-the-radar team-up that arrives via the star’s Peaceminusone brand, it’s so far delivered three releases, each of which has been met with warm praise

More Link to: highsnobiety.
