Bruce Kilgore’s iconic design has undergone a waterproof-modification that brings protection to the silhouette without sacrificing style. Already seen in “University Gold” and “Black,” the updated Air Force 1 will soon be available in a grey color scheme.
Kicking things off, the rain-ready upper again removes the typical perforation and much of the shoe’s stitching in favor of cleaner seams that minimize the opportunity for water to seep through. As a result, the Swooshes are created via an outline rather than being attached like normal. From collar to outsole, a soft gray hue remains consistent with a hit of black appearing at the tongue tag only. The heel features debossed branding while the stitched midsole is supported by a translucent outsole to complete the look.
