Uppers are constructed of a sturdy and classic canvas, with each pair presenting a different look: the “Laser Blue/Watermelon” opts for a vibrant mix of neon-adjacent hues while the “White/Midnight Navy” offers a more toned-down style. The lateral Swoosh is absent from its usual perch on the midfoot, with nothing more than loose threads showing where it would usually be placed. However, it’s not gone completely. If you look at these Blazer Mid Edges from the top down, you’ll notice that this Swoosh has been juxtaposed onto the toebox, where it cleverly serves as an asymmetrical mudguard. It’s then secured by another triangular-shaped overlay that hangs down from the bottom eyestays, almost serving as a small wing of sorts. Where the lateral side is an exercise in vivid conceptual branding, the lateral side is all classic. Swooshes are left completely intact and lead up into a heel tab with further Nike branding. Each tongue is doubled up — providing the aforementioned sacai cues — and proffers an interesting twist: the first tongue uses exposed foam in classic Blazer style, while the overlaid tongue is significantly thinner, and is equipped with a SB Dunk Low Pro hit.
