The aforementioned GORE-TEX material is seen on the sneaker-boots’ mid-panel and on the waterproof ripstop inner bootie, while premium leather constructs the toe box, vamp, rear-quarter and heel. Heavy-duty-inspired rubber hardware has been implemented in this design too, seen via the “NIKE AIR”-branded heel cup and the grooved heel-to-collar pull. Elsewhere Nike has added a toggle fastening at the rear of the collar for a tighter, more weather-resistant fit, as well as a chunky metal zip down the front of the shoe.
