AMBUSH’s Yoon Ahn is set to continue flexing her creative muscles by way of her partnership with Nike, as a new colourway of the AMBUSH x Nike Air Adjust Force has emerged. Arriving alongside “Black” and “White” versions, the AMBUSH x Nike Air Adjust Force “Blue” continues to build on the sneaker’s throwback theme, so here’s what to expect from the upcoming pair.The “Blue” AMBUSH x Air Adjust Force sees the vintage basketball silhouette receive a colourful make-over, swapping the paired-back tones of the preceding pairs for a bright blue upper. From here, black accents and a black Nike Swoosh make their way across the sidewalls and pops of red peep out from the collar and tongue. As with the other AMBUSH Adjust Forces, the “Blue” pair comes with a matching removable strap, which boasts Nike branding in coordinating black and red.

When it comes to collaborations, Yoon Ahn is one of the most sought-after names in the game. Not only has she teamed up with the likes of Rimowa and Converse, but she also designs jewelry for Dior and has a number of Nike collabs under her belt. Having recently worked with the Swoosh brand on a Dunk High, the creative powerhouse has dug into the archives for her latest collaborative project, the AMBUSH x Nike Air Adjust Force. The Air Adjust Force is a silhouette that dates back to 1996, and was originally designed as a basketball silhouette. Opting to stick to the retro look, Yoon hasn’t made too many changes to the sneaker which retains most of its original details, including the removable overlay that this time boasts a jeweled pink finish. The rest of the sneaker remains pretty simple: a black nubuck upper is broken up by bright white Nike Swooshes at the forefoot and tongue, and AMBUSH branding can be spotted at the heel. This all sits atop a chunky black midsole, which adds to the overall retro vibe.

Yoon Ahn is no stranger to collaboration and has joined forces with Nike once again on the AMBUSH x Nike Air Adjust Force. Originally released in 1996, the Air Adjust Force is a basketball silhouette with serious vintage appeal, but it’s not seen a retro until now. Arriving in a leather construction, the AMBUSH Air Adjust Force keeps things pretty simple, with a white base giving way to black details and Nike and AMBUSH branding hits across the upper. Whilst the sneakers can be worn on their own, a removable shroud boasts even more Swoosh branding in the form of a jellied panel, satisfying those who want a little extra retro flair. Whilst the uppers stay pretty true to the original pairs, Nike’s Grind Rubber outsoles add a more sustainable touch to bring the style into the 21st century.
