Boston-based New Balance is a brand that knows exactly what it takes to make a good collaboration, and this effort with Joe Robinson (aka Joe Freshgoods) is no exception. For their third joint project, JFG takes the lead on New Balance’s new 9060 model, and offers up the resulting pastel-hued Joe Freshgoods x New Balance 9060 Inside Voices “Baby Shower Blue.”Part of the duo’s Inside Voices collection, the 9060 “Baby Shower Blue” plays a small part in telling the story of JFG’s experience of growing up in a Black household, with the rest of the collection coveying intentional graphics to illustrate this even further. For this pair, the storytelling comes from the “Baby Shower” colourway, which sees the chunky sneaker arrive in pastel blue and pink hues across its premium suede and mesh construction.
